The site is cosy, there’s no denying that, but we’ve thoroughly enjoyed finding ways to give you as many adaptable options as possible to help you come together as a group whilst offering you little spaces of solitude and spaces to breathe.
Everywhere downstairs has underfloor heating to provide an even warmth throughout the space when you need it and under foot and each room can be controlled individually for that added flexibility.

The StudioThe views from the studio watch over the rolling hills of North Wales. We love blurring the boundaries between outside and inside so there’s as many windows as possible plus 5metres of tall bifold doors so on warm days you can open it up to extend the space onto the patio.
In the studio is: A piano Oak flooring with underfloor heating Comfortable chairs Folding table |

Upstairs
The KitchenWe believe food has the power to bring people together, whether it’s the preparation, the act of eating and appreciation or the sharing of clearing up duties afterwards.
You'll find suggested recipes which cater for all the different foodies and requirements so you can explore new food options too! |
The SnugThe Snug is in the same space as the kitchen which is perfect for hanging out with and giving moral support to those who are cooking or clearing up.
Comfy and cosy with colourful seating where you can play cards, hang out and access the balcony. |
The BalconyWhen I come up to the retreat, the view from the balcony is the one that makes me stop and take a deep breath in. I love watching the lambs in spring bouncing around during the day, chasing their pals and the bright starry sky at night.
There’s blankets, chairs and tables and even the BBQ. |
Accommodation
Onsite AccommodationThere are 3 bedrooms, each with bunking for 4 people and en suites.
We understand sharing accommodation can feel daunting to some people so we’ve put lots of thought into how we can make it as comfortable and safe as possible to give you ease of mind. The bunking has been custom built with you in mind including: A comfy mattress A reading light Curtains for privacy Shelving space within your bunk Plug socket Complimentary earplugs Stairs instead of ladders Each en suite has a shower, toilet and sink (and sound proofing insulation!) |
Offsite AccommodationAdditional accommodation for retreats only
A two minute walk down the road are our lovely farm friends The Jones’ - they have made their double bedroom with en suite available for our courses. It has private access directly into the room so you can come and go as you please. You’ll use our kitchen facilities as if you’re staying with us. Because there is only one of these we kindly ask that you only book it if it's really important to you to have your own space. |
Other Bits and Bobs
ParkingWe have limited parking on site so some of you will be able to park here, stacked up the drive and the rest can put your cars a short walk up the road.
There's not many houses here in Dinmael but there are some so we do ask that you're mindful and respectful of their space. |
The Outside WorldWe'll warn you now - signal around here isn't great - both a blessing and a curse!
We ummed and ahhed about whether to get internet installed because really you’ve come here to connect with each other and we all know phones can restrict how we connect, but we know it's important to check in with home. So, we have installed it, and it'll be up to you whether you use it. |
The PubSome of you will be pleased to know there is a pub in walking distance. The Goat Inn is only a 10minute walk you could always head up there and have your evening meal.
Support local. Karen deserves it. Facebook: The Goat Inn |

"Community is much more than belonging to something;
it’s about doing something together which makes belonging matter"
